The Atos series of Class 2 rigid wing hang gliders are developed by the German company Aeronautic Innovation Ruhle (A-I-R)
The Atos VR is the all out highest performer.
Built for the serious XC and/or competition pilot it is a 13.3:1 aspect ratio super ship with a 45ft wingspanthat that is as easy to foot launch as any flex wing ,but with performance in a different league
The Atos VR has stunning performance. Its 45 ft wingspan and efficient aerofoil give it a superb sink rate at low speed and a good glide performance (20:1+ with all the options and a clean pilot/harness) within the speed range of most foot-launched gliders.In coastal lift, the Atos will sit well above other wings, while inland, the superb glide will get you between thermals faster and higher than most.

Installation

Either unzip to a temporary folder, (and then transfer them) or straight to your Flt Sim AIRCRAFT folder .
The aircraft will appear listed under the manufacturer A-I-R

The Atos can be launched by aerotow (FSX only), from a cliff or mountain take off site or virtual winch
Mountain launch

Make sure you do NOT have unlimited fuel selected and set the fuel quantity to 4% (just enough for a few running steps ) .
If the pilot doesn't immediately start to run when the sim is unpaused... select Ctrl+E ,release the brakes and advance full throttle as the engine starts ( sometimes takes a few seconds) .
When airborne select Gear-up to raise the pilot into prone position .
The files for a pre loaded start at the St Hilaire launch site are included.
